Blending Century-Old Charm with Modern Sophistication:
The goal for this Guelph home addition and renovation was to honor the home’s past while equipping it for the future. The original layout, while full of character, was cramped and not suited for a modern family. Our team re-engineered the space from the ground up.
A key part of this project was maximizing usable space. We engineered a new basement unit, creating a fully separate living area perfect for extended family or as a rental income opportunity.
The main floor was completely reimagined. We established a complete open-concept kitchen as the new heart of the home, featuring contemporary cabinetry, stone countertops, and professional-grade appliances. This new space flows seamlessly into the living and dining areas, unified by new hardwood flooring.
Upstairs, an elegant master bedroom suite was designed to provide a private, luxurious retreat for the homeowners. The architectural centerpiece of the home is the new monolithic hardwood staircase with sleek glass railings, which floods the center of the home with natural light and adds a stunning, sleek architectural statement.
